Terminological subset of the International Classification for Nursing Practice for patients hospitalized due to burns

ABSTRACT Objective: To develop a proposal of terminological subset the International Classification for Nursing Practice burned patients. Method: This is methodological study following steps: identification clinical findings; mapping terms; construction statements diagnoses/results and nursing interventions; content validation statements; structuring with theoretical model Basic Human Needs. Content was performed by 26 specialist nurses, through Validity Index, ≥ 0.80 being considered validated. Results: A total 36 119 interventions were Among these, ones highest index were: Respiratory System Function, Impaired/Respiratory Effective; Volume Fluids, Impaired/Volume Burn Wound/Wound Healing, Pain, Acute/Pain, Absent, as interventions: Monitor Vital Signs; to Fluid Balance; Treat Skin Condition; Assess Response Pain Management (Control). Conclusion: The validated depict people basic human needs, psychobiological most prevalent.
